This happened to me at CVS. Cashier forgot to ring up an item, so I want back and reported it. Manager said, “Thank you for your honesty.” That’s what it’s all about, and too many people forget this.
It is the right thing to do – but sometimes it can be more hassle than it is worth. The cashier can get confused, nasty or embarrassed or they may get in trouble!
no but it is what you should do.
It’s what honest and ethical people do. It’s difficult to say if most do.
It is what a lot of customers do. The important thing is not whether or not you do it- but whether or not you feel good in doing it.

Thats what I would do. Its happened to me a few times. Each respective store manager was surprised in varying degrees that I said something.

No but I would go back too and pay for it
@dshanske depends on the size of the error and the size of the business. a nude resort once declined to take what they forgot to charge me
I’ve done it.
I would. To be honest if I already was home and it was a small amount maybe not. But if I just walked out the door, certainly.
Somehow I don’t think so but it’s something I would do also.
Depends what the item was. If it had been a 52 inch LED TV, then no, I probably wouldn’t have gone back in. ๐

I would if I was still near the store.
